Anna Burnett

Service Chair of Aurora

Anna is from Augusta, Georgia, and is currently a student at the University of Georgia studying Human Development and Family Science. She aspires to become an Occupational Therapist so that she can help improve the quality of life for individuals. She became involved with Aurora through the club, Aurora at UGA. Instantly, she fell in love with the mission and purpose of Aurora. Therefore, she decided to run for Service Chair and now helps to plan events for the club at UGA. Anna enjoys spending time with her family, cross-stitching, traveling, and loves the Georgia Bulldogs.

Sabrina Dawkins

Registered Nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Sabrina has been a nurse for 5 years. She is originally from Anderson, South Carolina and now reside in Peachtree Corners, GA. Sabrina and her husband, Joseph, have a shih tzu named Rayna. They are huge Georgia Bulldogs fans. She serves at Aurora Atlanta as a camp nurse and loves to spend her summer days with the campers!

Hayley Girsky

Associate Brand Manager

Hayley is a New York native and was a camp counselor at Sunrise Day Camp-Pearl River in 2014. She graduated from Emory University's Goizueta's Business School in 2017 with a marketing degree. Hayley started her marketing career at Newell Brands and now works in marketing at Serta Simmons Bedding.

Jaime Glazerman

Camper Parent

Jaime Glazerman has been a cancer parent since 2015. She and her family have been involved in many aspects of the local pediatric cancer community ever since. She is honored to be involved with Aurora, which fills a much needed gap in services in Metro Atlanta. Jaime has her MA in Counseling Psychology and is a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Jaime has 11 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient mental health, including child/play therapy, individual, group and family therapy. For the past two years, Jaime has been enjoying being a mom full time. She is looking forward to serving Camp Aurora both as a professional and as a parent.

Cristy Pruitt

Camper Parent

Cristy is a Digital Evidence Examiner with the US Army Crime Lab. She became a cancer parent in 2016, and her family became acquainted with Aurora Day Camp in 2018 as her two boys have attended the summer camp since it's beginning. She grew up in West Virginia, received her BS in Biology and MS in Forensic Science both from Marshall University, and has called Atlanta home for the past 18 years. Cristy and her husband Blaine enjoy movies, live music and enjoying nature with their boys.

Emma Strong

Manager

Emma serves as the Campaign and Rally Kid manager. In this role, she works closely with hospitals, Rally Kids and oversees various fundraising campaigns throughout the year. Emma has been instrumental in growing many fundraising initiatives at Rally. She graduated from the University of Georgia in the spring of 2018 with a degree in communications. Emma enjoys being outside, hiking, traveling, volunteering and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Dawgs.

Kathy Wiegand

Camper Parent

Kathy is the mom of two Aurora Day Camp children. After seeing first-hand the benefits of Aurora's programming and counselor attention, Kathy has become passionate about the Aurora mission. With a history of camp involvement as a counselor with various overnight and day camps, Kathy is excited to be a part of the programming committee. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish from Butler University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Purdue University. She regularly teaches an online undergraduate course in Industrial-Organizational Psychology for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Kathy believes in service to the community and life-long learning through active engagement in the world. The family enjoys traveling nationally and internationally and learning the history and culture of new places. At home, Kathy keeps the kids (and herself and husband) learning and growing through various activities, such as raising chickens, woodworking, sewing, gardening, running, music, and dance.

Coleman Younger

Vice President, Investments

Coleman is an Investment Specialist with J.P. Morgan Private Bank, working with families and institutions to achieve financial goals. He moved to Atlanta in 2017 from New York where he previously worked as a Portfolio Manager at AllianceBernstein. Coleman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Communication. He and his fiancée Sally live in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta with their dog Winnie. Coleman moved to Atlanta in 2017 when Sally began her PhD program in Mathematics at Georgia Tech. He enjoys hiking, golf, music and the great outdoors.
