Celebrate In-Person Summer Camp 2021
As this COVID Cloud starts to dissipate, we see a new Sunrise for our children and families with cancer. As our lives return to a new normal, we can also help these children experience a new normal too – out from a cloud that they have been living under for a much longer time – with more devastating consequences than those we have experienced under COVID.
This summer, Aurora Day Camp will bring back hope to hundreds of children affected by cancer. Our medical task force – including Dr. Glen Lew of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – has created strict protocols to protect the health and safety of our children and staff so we can provide a magical, in-person summer camp. This camp is free of charge to families and serves more than 150+ children between the ages of 3 ½ to 16.
But it comes at a cost.
The camp hires more than 50 summer counselors and nurses, provides free bus transportation from 17+ counties surrounding Atlanta, rents its facility for the summer and will have to purchase myriads of new recreational supplies and PPE equipment to make a fun, safe and accessible summer.
